SIDNEY – Young entrepreneur Carter Lawson started a photography business. Carter Lawson Photography focuses on action sports photography, but also does portrait photography and other volume work. “I am very positive and I like working with everyone, of all ages,” Lawson said. Lawson is 15 years old and a sophomore at Lehman Catholic High School.“I started four months ago,” he said.
“I started because my mom used to have a photography business and I wanted to try it. He is putting his skills to use, going to all the games at Sidney High School and Lehman to take photos. He then puts the action photos on his website, where people can order high-quality photos. In addition to his photography business, when Lawson is not in school, he plays both basketball and golf. He also works part-time for Kristin Allen Photography. His long-term goal is to expand and grow his business.The biggest challenge for Lawson is that at 15 years old, he doesn’t have a driver’s license yet and has to have his mom drive him to events.“It’s a little rough, but it works out,” Lawson said. “I want to give credit to my mom and to Kristin Allen.”
